Just finished reading this marvel of a memoir in verse! Jacqueline Woodson invites us to her journey of self-discovery, of vocation and purpose, in poetry and story, of the world(s) we choose for ourselves and the world(s) made for us. The discovery, rediscovery and the preservation of her most precious memories so vividly etched in the recesses of the author's soul and shared so graciously with all of us to embark with her, to smell and taste, to see and listen, to touch and suffer, to laugh and grow, to feel and believe, and most of all to dream, on this marvelous journey that is to come of age.
